Order Management System for Restaurants and Retail
Project Description
Order Management System is a modern digital solution for managing orders in cafés, restaurants, delivery services, and ready-to-eat food stores. The system was designed to make the process of receiving, processing, and fulfilling orders as simple, fast, and transparent as possible - eliminating chaos, lost orders, and excessive workload on staff. Its core value lies in seamlessly connecting order intake with production (the kitchen) in a single workflow: data is transmitted instantly, in a structured and clear way, including recipes, add-ons, modifiers, and special notes. Unlike large and expensive POS or restaurant management systems with excessive functionality, this solution is specifically tailored for small and medium-sized businesses: it is lightweight, intuitive, quick to implement, and does not require complex staff training or significant financial investment.
Workflow and System Logic
Within the project, the interface and operational logic were designed to cover the entire order lifecycle, including:
- a fast order-entry form
- a structured order card for production
- clear order statuses: received → in progress → ready → completed
- real-time updates and comments
- clear display of dish composition, add-ons, and special requests
- role-based access control within the system.
The system architecture was built to minimize the number of clicks, eliminate confusion, and speed up order processing even during peak hours.
